Why Does My AI Couple Photo Look Fake?
It's almost always the source photos: two very different lighting conditions, a low-resolution or distant crop, a heavy filter on one of them, or a face partly hidden by hair or sunglasses. Re-upload two sharp, evenly-lit, front-facing photos taken in similar light and regenerate.
The usual causes
- Mismatched light — one photo bright daylight, one dim indoor
- Low resolution — a tiny or distant crop of a face
- Heavy filters — smoothing or strong colour on one source
- Obscured faces — sunglasses, hair, hands, extreme angles
- Very different head sizes between the two uploads
The fix
- Take two fresh photos in the same room, same light
- Face the camera, whole face visible, no filter
- Crop each to a similar framing (head and shoulders)
- Regenerate — and try two styles, results vary run to run
